I present this award to you because
You are Special to Me

There was a young man in a high school class
with a very special teacher.
One day this teacher came in and told his class
that he was giving each of them an award
for being special in his life.

As he gave each student his award,
he told them what made them special.
He then gave them each three extra awards
and told them to go out and give one award
to someone special in their life
and to give them the other two award
to pass on down.

Now this young man thought and thought
about who he was going to give his award to.
He finally decided to give it to his boss at work.
Now his boss was always hollering
and nobody really liked him
but this young man decided
to give it to him anyway.

He went into his bosses office
and told him he wanted to present him with an award
for being special in his life.
He told him that even though he was hard on him,
he had learned a lot and was stronger because of it.

This impressed his boss so much
and when the young man told him to pass on the award
to someone special in his life, he
remembered a young man in accounting
that had worked really hard for him
for many years and he had never really
expressed his appreciation over the years.

The young accountant was so moved
by his boss acknowledging his approval
of his long hours and hard work over the years.

 Well now he was given the last award.
The accountant was a hard working man
and hardly ever had time for anyone
so he was having a hard time
figuring out who he wanted to award.

On his drive home that night,
he remembered his precious son at home.
Even though he hardly ever spent time
with him because of his long hours at work,
his son was always there to greet him
when he came home with a hug and a "Hi Daddy".

This was a reminder for him
to tell his son that he loved him
and that he was special to him.

When he got home,
his son was sitting on the couch watching TV.
He walked over to him and told him
that he wanted to talk with him.

He pulled out the last award
and told his son,
"I know that I work almost all the time
and I don't tell you that I love you enough
and I have never told you how special you are to me
but tonight I want to give you this special award.
You are my special boy and
I love you more than words can say.
You are always my bright spot in each day
and I am so proud of you."

The young boy just sat there quite for a while
and then he looked up at his dad and said,
"Dad, I didn't think I mattered in your life
and tonight  I had decided to kill myself
and now I don't have to.  I love you too daddy."

Is there someone in your life that you need to let know that they are special to you.  We need not ever let a day go by without letting the ones we love, KNOW IT.

Life is too short for us not to tell the
ones we love that they are special,
We never know what each day holds
and need to share our love while there is time.
 Have you told that special someone,
that you love them and that they are special?
If not, maybe now is the time.
Don't wait till it is too late.
Did you know that God loves you?
And so do I.
Let the Love of God
fill your life
and then, pass it on.
You never know what that could mean
to that someone special in your life.

Pass this award on to someone
 who is special to you.
